The Firestar Web Page!

Okay, this page started out as a tribute to the female Autobot Firestar. It eventually turned into information about the TF2 incarnation of the character that I played. Now that I no longer play her, it still contains remnants of those 2 incarnations, but is mainly a list of MUSH chars I played and links to many MUSHes and MUXes (most of which might have moved since I left them). Enjoy!

Hi, this is a web page dedicated to the coolest Transformer ever, Firestar. Also, it now includes a list of my MUSH alts, which I try to keep as up to date as possible. First, some background- in the 2nd season of the Transformers cartoon they made an episode "Search for Alpha Trion". In this episode, there were four female Autobots, including our heroine. They had led the Cybertron resistance vs. the deceps while the male Autobots went to Earth. Firestar is the female equivalent, girlfriend or wife of Inferno, depending on who you listen to-i think it's a little of each. While she was only in one cartoon episode, she has been a central figure in many MUSHes (Multi-player RP). I played her on TF2 MUSH from April 1996 to April 1997.

  • The Femmes Unite site gives quite a bit of information on both fan-made and canon female Transformers. Go to Femmes Unite to check it out.

    FanFic

My three Transformers stories all feature Firestar, generally as the main character. My first work was Rebuilding, set in the early days of the War and offering an alternative history for the Constructicons and a background for other Transformers like Firestar and Grapple whose histories were never explained. My second work was Twilight, which came about due to a character by that name on TF2 and was written with help from that character's player. My third fanfic is First Impressions, detailing my version of Firestar's first days on Earth and how she came to view humanity.

A VERY short essay I wrote on MUSHing and what I think it intends to accomplish, what it is and what it is not. Not a long read. Feedback on it is very welcome. Also on the sub-page is a brief MUSH newbie help guide that is worth reading if you have never MUSHed before and want to get started.

A list of other TFMUSHes can be found at Graywolf's TF Page

Here's a few PICTS from that TV episode:

As a pickup truck, almost done transforming from robot mode.

As a robot, leading the femmes(yeah, right)

Again as a robot, with her brother Inferno fighting decepticons

"SoundEffect", a Transfan, got this clip from the show of Firestar in vehicular mode. Much nicer than anything I could get for that mode. This picture was taken off Firebird's web page. SoundEffect's image archive is here. Thanks to Raksha for pointing me to this locale.

Here's some general info, taken from TF2 MUSH:

    Firestar

    ==============================================================

    Name: Firestar

    Function: SEARCH & RESCUE

    Alias: FS

    Affiliation: Autobot

Quote: "You get in trouble ... I'll pull you out, and take some Decepticons with me."

Note: Before joining the Femmes, Firestar used to work with Inferno, performing search and rescue missions to help fellow Cybertronians. She now uses those skills to help the resistance force, usually functioning as backup should any of t he other missions go haywire. Courageous and always wanting to help others, some times to the point that she'll question orders to evacuate the area without everyone out. In her robot mode, she carries a chemical rifle which shoots an array of acid, nitrogen and lead, in addition to a small laser gun holstered to her waist. Her pickup truck mode is used to transport injured Autobots or stolen energon cubes back to base. ===============================================================

Neale Davidson made a series of TF icons, including one for Firestar. Small, but anything Firestar-related is nice.

Firestar's popularity is not limited to TF fans. Computer nerd Tolkien fans loved her so much they named a weapon after her in the computer game Angband:

    The Morning Star 'Firestar' (2d6) (+5,+7) [+2]

    Flame Tongue

    Resist Fire

Activates for large fire ball (72) every 100 turns

    Level 20, Rarity 15, 15.0 lbs, 35000 Gold

If you want my ideas on Firestar's personality, what makes her tick and such, just drop me an email.

Other MUSH chars I've played-descriptions of each follow: Current- None. I just don't have the time.

    Former-Hotwire@TLY,Circuit,James,Liftoff and Software@TF2,Wrench, Jared, Blueprint and Granite@TF2k5, Ephraim@GoI, Swampbreath@TF1, Tazril@Elendor, Clain and LiAnn@TwilightMUSH, Marru,LiAnn,Goralba,Dalowin and Shunta@DLMUSH, Chromia,Pause and Smokescreen @TF:Genesis,Relyan and Kirina@CDI,Coliva@DDM,Kelvain@Balance,Galtin@SWMC,Mischa, LiAnn, Firestar,Ravensong and Redwood@Funky,Tarra@Balance II,Yevon@Ansalon Dreams,Celia@SHMUX,Lashout@Beast Wars, Jestrum and Calidor@Tales of Ta'veren

Goralba, dwarven beggar who ran away from his fellow Hill Dwarves because of their feud with their Mountain brethren. He got a job at the temple of Majere thanks to Elisabeta, a priestess of Majere (Feb. 1996-May 1996, Aug 1996-Aug 1997) at DLMUSH (Defunct? Switched sites?) (Quit due to lack of time with entrance into School of Social Work in real life)

Liftoff, the 2nd dumbest robot , 2nd least skilled one and worst at leading(I am pretty sure all of this). Also the coolest shuttle around that has faulty memory problems. Played at TF2. (May 1996-Dec 1996). (Given away to another player when I couldn't give her the proper time)

Jestrum, a middle-aged Whitecloak at Tales of Ta'veren, a Wheel of Time-based MUSH. There he is the head of a small group of the Children of Light stationed in Fal Moran. Otherwise he's your typical CoL. (Aug 1996-Oct 1996)

Calidor, a middle-aged beggar who has spent his life on the streets of Andor. He has no skills with which to earn a job, and just spends his life trying to make it to the next day as his family has for many years. Played on Ta'veren.

LiAnn, a human who was a tad too obsessed with the Dragonlance books. She started thinking she was a kender. This insanity was only made worse by the arrival of the giant Transformers and their war to her planet and now she imagines herself as a kender all the time. Played at FunkyMUSH (defunct) (July? 1996-Nov? 1996, Feb 1997-Apr 1997)

Redwood, a pacifist Autobot, Beachcomber's little brother, also at FunkyMUSH. He is very much like his brother, only younger. He idolizes everything his brother stands for.(July? 1996-Nov? 1996, Feb 1997-Apr 1997)

Mischa, myself, a 19-yr old normal (maybe) person at FunkyMUSH. (Aug 1996-Nov? 1996, Feb 1997-Apr 1997)

Kelvain, a youngish man whose parents died when he was young. He grew up on the streets and became a good con-man, eventually joining with a money-making false religion. The religion was shut down by the church of the Balanced Scale. He has since been on the run from the church of the Balanced Scale and has taken to laying low, still trying to make a few bucks. Played at BalanceMUSH, an originally themed fantasy MUSH run by 2 folks I met else-MUSH.

Tarra, my newer char at Balance, now called Balance II MUX. She is an elderly widow who still works as a baker in the town of Longriding. A simple, practical woman who seeks joy in everyday life. (Quit due to lack of time given char)

Dalowin, a young man forced to flee his home on the Solamnic plain during the War of the Lance. Arriving in Palanthas, he's apprenticed himself to a cobbler there and is slowly learning that trade. Played at DLMUSH.(Quit due to lack of time upon entering School of Social Work)

Shunta, a trader and sea captain from Ergoth. His trade increased after the War of the Lance, as rivals suffered damage to their trade in that war. An average man in many aspects, but a good leader and planner. Spends much time at the docks and waterfront of whatever city he's in. Played at DLMUSH.

Marru, an elderly servant to House Timora of Palanthas. Loyal to the city, the house and it's leaders, K'Thrak and Tystal. He grew upo a servant to the house and also watched the current members of the house grow up. Having no family of his own, he treats them as family and is protective of them.

Granite, a communications specialist at 2k5. on Mars. A long-time Autobot, he is a pacifist and never loses his calm or lets his emotions control him. These beliefs were acquired over time, not ingrained. He went to monitor the UN Mars project because he was tired of the continuous fighting on Cybertron and it gave him a chance to work with humans, whom he was always interested in.(MUSH abandoned for several reasons, but char still logged onto a bit to say hi and to RP)

Blueprint, a Vilnacronian(independent TF city) architect and engineer. He hates the pointless war, and hopes that he can only live to see it's send do he can build in peace and have his creations last. He sees the city of Vilnacron as as good a place as any to use his talents currently.(see above note)(The char has been adopted by another)

Galtin, a former bouncer at some obscure space-bar, who got fed up with living the life he was and with the world he was living in and moved to another planet, where he joined the Brotherhood, a group seeking spiritual enlightenment. Played at Star Wars-Minos Cluster (Char quit briefly due to too many alts/not enough time/not enough RP then the MUSH went down and didn't come up till Aug 1997, at which time I once again had not enough time to play him)

Celia, a fairly young woman who works as a freelance photographer in Coast City. A former employee of Time, she quit that job to pursue work where she had no boss and where she could proceed at her own pace and cover the topics she wanted to when she wanted to. Played at SuperheroMUX (defunct). Married Melkorian King Terrian right before he was going to leave the planet for good. Adopted another alien named Kami. Adopted a mutant named Sara. Other residents of her house include a cat-werecat-person shapechanger named Wisquatuk, a boarder named Steve, the giant frog-like butler Zaffa and her super-strong baby Jen. Most of the house's residents work for the Crusaders, a group headed by the would-be Messiah named Sinner. (Buildstaff:Feb-Aug 1997)(Quit due to departures of Sara and Terrian from MUSH and lack of time to devote)

LiAnn, a 70-yr+ kender@TwilightMUSH(defunct), another Dragonlance MUSH. Every kender was either a neice or nephew to her. She had MANY cool stories to tell and a ton of cool things in her pack and was a semi-legendary kender. She also was a pest to the head of the black robes, whom she often pretended she was.

Clain, a dwarven cleric of Reorx who was thrown out of Thorbardin for his anti-rich, pro-poor positions which annoyed those who ran the city. He wandered around till he reached Palanthas and settled at the temple of Majere there, trying to help the priestesses there with their work. Played at TwilightMUSH for some time frame as LiAnn.

Chromia, the old-timer female Autobot and second-in-command of that group, at TF:Genesis. A rather dull personality, which is one reason I stopped playing her

Software, an Autobot communications and technology expert. A triple-changer, turning into a computer or boombox or robot. A guy who tends to faze out sometimes, but pretty bright. Played at TF2.

James Wallace, a government agent at TF2 who, after years of various diplomatic jobs, has been assigned to work with the TFs and work out agreements with them and learn about them. A calm, rather stoic guy, he does what is neccesary to help his country, as long as it is moral. Not easily disturbed, he can deal well with metallic beings four times his height.

Hotwire, a youngish female Autobot skilled in all mechanical devices as an engineer and medic. She also doubles as a security robot oftentimes, as she rarely leaves base for a variety of reasons. Played at TF:Lost Yrs. (Charstaff:Feb 1997-Aug 1997, quit due to lack of time, though kept the char for some time after)

Lashout, an anthropologist/spider monkey at the Beast Wars MUSH. A gentle soul who does not belong in a war, he simply studies the culture of the planet and aids out in anyway he can.(May-July 1997)(MUSH rebuilt a few months later with mostly new staff. Didn't return)

Coliva Deliseron, a short Cairhien tailor and Foregate resident and merchant in Daes Daemer MUSH, based on the works of Robert Jordan. A kind person and jovial like most Foregaters, she cares little for the silly politics of the city's nobility. (left char once the city of Cairhien was closed due to a MUSH-wide vote upon the shrinking of the MUSH)

Smokescreen, played by me, at TF:Genesis. He is a rather loose robot, fun-seeking and laid-back. When neccesary though, he can be extremely serious and is one of the Autobot's top planners and strategians. He tries to be friendly to everyone and very rarely shows fear or even awkwardness in social situations. Always in control of himself. (Quit due to lack of time upon entering the School of Social Work)

Pause, an unusual Autobot, at TF:Genesis. Her only goal in life really is to make sure all other Autobots are feeling well and good. She was created to serve as a connection between Blaster and his tapes and the Female Autobots, behind Elita-One. She can be a bit hyper and tends to go on when speaking sometimes, behaviors that earned her her name. (Quit due to lack of time and lack of RP. She also didn't have the personality to be more than a supporting char I think)

Relyan, a Druid and family priest of Clan Strathclyde at Castle D'Image, a MUSH in existence since 1992 or so. The char was played briefly, then dropped for Kirina, my current char at said MUSH.

Kirina Thayeson, a woman who was left alone at 6 when her parents died. She managed to maintain a small section of the farm with the money they left and in time became a succesful produce peddler. Due to a kind tip from a stranger, she was able to repurchase the whole farm. She has since adopted a ward named Luna, who reminds her of herself when she was younger.(quit due to lack of playing time)

Yevon Molison, a simple woodworker, who learned the harder lessons in life due to his own ignorant acts as a youth. Now middle-aged, he runs a store that makes furniture and toys for the city of Narmaar at Ansalon Dreams, a Dragonlance MUSH set before the Cataclysm.(Quit due to lack of time to devote upon entering the School of Social Work at Pitt)

Ephraim Ben Yochanan, a fisherman on the island of Tilana, a made-up land set around 1400 C.E. near Europe. The MUSH at which the char existed is called Games of Intrigue (Quit due to lack of time. I should never have taken on this char with the little free time I had.)

    Dead chars include:

Wrench, a female Autobot at 2k5 who left the bots after her male counterpart Ratchet died. She became an unafil, repairing anyone who needed help, while preaching pacisifism. She went to Earth to help out at the time the Decepticons invaded(2007 in the MUSH timeline) but was returned to Cybertron by the bots. A human named Ryu Tzu called for her to return to earth because the EDC could use her skills. So she came back only to become hated by many Bots and feared by too many humans. She had a good time working at the EDC but got called back to Cybertron by Perceptor to deal with the matter of a planetoid heading for the planet. Once there, she realized how pathetic the bots had become and how hopeless a peace was. I collected all the bbposts following her death as well as her +finger info. Email me if you want a copy.(May 1996-Aug 1996)

Ravensong, basically Redwood except female at FunkyMUSH(Jun 1996?-Aug 1996?). Killed due to her pacifist nature being unable to survive in a war-filled setting.

    Other Former alts include:

Jared, a middle-aged Jewish engineer working for a small repair company in Downtown San Fransisco at 2k5. (Quit due to lack of good RP on the MUSH generally, on Earth specifically. Also due to constant fighting between players over personal hates and several other factors)

Tazril, a Beorning trader from Mirkwood village, in the world of JRR Tolkein's books, at ElendorMUSH. (Quit due to an inability to find any RP at all for too long a time plus too many chars to handle at once.)

Circuit, a TF2 char of mine who was somewhat a Bumblebee clone. She wasn't your typical medic, being rather lax when not working and even silly. She was also somewhat of a daredevil, which didn't cause her too much harm due to the aid of hover-engines. Somewhat a child at heart, she wishes for the end of the war and does her part to make sure the proper side wins out.

    Chars on dead MUShes are:

Swampbreath, a Decepticon warrior and combat tactician at Tf1. Never really worked out this char as the MUSH died two weeks after i got him(April? 1996)
