Note: If you had subscribed to the "glb-rowing" mail list at queernet.org, be aware that that list no longer exists. As far as I know, the server described here is the only list server for gay and lesbian rowers that is global in scope.
You do not have to register with Yahoo! to get the information that was formerly provided by this site. Anyone can visit the web site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/glrowers to read the message archives and the bookmark list, which provides links to websites of all known active g/l rowing clubs.

To use all of the Yahoo! group web page features and e-mail delivery options,
you will need to
join the group.
If you are not already registered with Yahoo!, you will need to do so.
Joining the group may provides significant advantages, including ability to post and view photos and other files, access to a voluntary contact list and the membership list. The site provides a means for one member to send a message to another member, without revealing the recipient's address to the sender. Thus group members e-mail addresses are protected from bulk mail address harvesters and other tools of the spam trade.
On that topic, as group moderator, I am happy to keep access to the service as open as reasonable. However, I will not tolerate misuse of the service. I feel that Yahoo! provides me with an excellent set of tools to ensure that misuse of the service will not be an issue.
I hope that you will find the new service more useful and engaging than my web pages have been. I can promise they will be better maintained, provided our friends at Yahoo! hold up their end.
