Welcome to CityNet's Web Author resource. This area has been designed for
use by all levels of Web Author. There are sections for beginners as well
as areas for experts. General authoring information as well as the specifics
you will need to create pages at CityNet.
This resource is broken up into sections. You can access the individual
sections either using the button bar in the upper left, or by clicking on
one of the section titles that follow.
- Tutorials
- If you are new to authoring, this is the place to start. There are tutorials
for all levels.
- Style Guides
- One of the more difficult things to learn is how to go about setting up
a site. What should it look like and how should the content be formatted.
- References
- Matterial that you will come back to time and again. This section should
answer your questions about how to format a particular HTML tag. Additionally,
this area serves as a catch all for resources such as public domain art
and pointers to some of the tools that will help you create your page on
a Macintosh, Windows, or SGI platform.

- A place to ask questions.

- This is where we try answer questions specific to CityNet.

- We have a counter at CityNet that you may choose to use in your documents.
We gave the counter a prominent place because it is probably the most frequently
requested information we get.

- Basic information about how to incorporate Java into your pages. For the
Unix inclined, there is a java compiler available on the Unix box. We tell
you how to use it here.

- Pointers to some of the cgi scripts we keep at CityNet. How to create your
own scripts. And explanations about running scripts at CityNet

- The next big thing. This section will not be available until sometime in
late September.
