Pittsburgh Sounds
Clips from field recordings on the MapHub web site. To access the sounds:
- --Go to the MapHub site: www.maphub.org
- --Create an account -- It’s EZ! It’s Free!
- --Click “Hubs” at the top of the map and subscribe (turn on) “SoundScapes”
- --Go to the “Map View”
- --On the right is a list of the hubs to which you are subscribed.
- --Check “SoundScapes” and uncheck all the others
- --On the map pan east to see all the SoundScapes icons (blank squares)
- --Click on one and click “View Details”
- --The sound file is listed near the bottom of the detail window. They are slow to
load.
The sound clips on this page are protected by copyright. If you want to use them as they are, or wish to hear the complete works from which they come, please contact me. However, if you want to sample from these sound clips and mutate, permute and mutilate bits and scraps for your own creative purposes, I encourage you to do so. In the end, it's all one big project.
